Owens River Twilight

Owens River, Bishop, California

A waning gibbous moon hangs high over the sierra. The chill morning air shrouds the river and surrounding landscape in mist and there is a feeling of dampness. The colors are deep neutral (tans, browns and greys). The reflections off the water are dense with only sudtle hints of alpine glow. She moves on in rippling currents and does not stop to share her past when she hid under ice. Photo © copyright by Frank LeBlanc.
