Mono Lake Pano 3, Sunset
Mono Lake, California
Dusky clouds dissipate over the sierra and scatter outward over the lake while sunset light intensifys over Lee Vining to the west. Tufa formations appear to huddle together to prevent any breach as they have done for thousands of years, but alas it has happened and foaming edges around the base testifys that water is pouring in and a tide pool has formed. Reflections begin to show a night sky that soon will be a theater of a million stars. Photo © copyright by Frank LeBlanc.
