Snow Mountain
Icefields Parkway, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
A quick snowshoe across the snow covered Athabasca river found us looking back at Mt. Hardisty. The peak was obscured by clouds while conditions on top looked stormy. Meanwhile, the day was getting late, the sun was setting and the sky was growing dark. The temperature was somwhere in the vicinity of 4-6 degrees fahrenheit. It was time for the snowshoe back to Icefields Parkway, and the soon to be warm, car. Photo © copyright by Frank LeBlanc.
