February 24th and the cypress trees have produced flowers, which show in dense reddish brown clusters. These are old trees with large spanish moss beards. At times they are under deeper water than seen here, and at other times they are left on dry land in late summer when drought takes hold. Photo © copyright by Frank LeBlanc.
